Meet your Woodbridge Chiropractor, Dr. Matthew Bortolussi

Dr. Matthew Bortolussi
As your Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Matthew Bortolussi focuses on chiropractic care that restores and rebuilds the health of your spine and nervous system. Not satisfied with just eliminating your pain, this Woodbridge chiropractor’s goal is to assist you in properly correcting the cause of your problem so true healing can occur. Through chiropractic care in his Woodbridge clinic since 2005, Dr. Matthew has helped patients from all areas of Vaughan with painful chronic problems associated with overuse injuries, arthritis, old previous injuries and everyday stress. Dr. Matthew is also one of a few select chiropractors with training in advanced techniques such as Cranial Adjusting Turner Style (CATS) which can be particularly helpful in difficult cases for young and old. Tell him your healthcare goals and he’ll show you how you can achieve them. Recently, Dr. Matthew has begun incorporating the most recent advances in understanding of nervous system function and health through what’s known as polyvagal theory. By considering the autonomous nervous system’s components of sympathetic and parasympathetic, with respect to vagal versus dorsal dominance, more personalized care planning and adjusting methods selection can lead to better outcomes for people under chiropractic care.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Matthew makes physical activity a big part of his leisure time. That could be hikes on The Bruce Trail or skiing the various hills in The Blue Mountains, or boating on Georgian Bay. He also enjoys working out and walking his goldendoodle, named Henry. Henry has been known to make an appearance in the clinic from time to time. If you’re a dog lover, you just might meet him at your next visit.
